Oak has a reputation for being the hardest of English hardwoods. It is very difficult to dry properly - but once kiln dried it produces an amazing firewood. It is so dense that it will burn cleanly and longer than other types of English firewood and produce a low flame. It is however, harder to light, so is often combined with hardwood species. As Oak burns very slowly with minimal spitting; it is perfect for woodstoves, open fires, barbeques and firepits.
All our firewood is supplied with a moisture content (throughout the log) below 20%.
We kindly encourage our customers to return the Jumbo bags to be recycled in order to reduce plastic waste.
