Ash is often referred to as the "King of Firewood". In its green state it has one of the lowest moisture contents of all English hardwoods and as such it has a reputation as being one of the few woods that can be used for a fire even when it has been freshly felled - although we wouldn't recommend it! Ash is a dense, white hardwood that produces a consistent flame with a high heat output. Ash burns slowly and doesn't spit, so is perfect for woodstoves, open fires, barbeques and firepits.
All our firewood is supplied with a moisture content (throughout the log) below 20%.
We kindly encourage our customers to return the Jumbo bags to be recycled in order to reduce plastic waste.
